SiriusCreations' trip to the USA: 21 August 2008.

Lewiston, ID - Missoula, MT

estimated distance: 219 miles (352 kilometers)

Nez Perce National Historical Park

The day started and ended with sunshine....

So I left Lewiston around 9:00 am local time. The sun was shining so I thought I can make some sunny pictures. When I entered the Nez Perce National Historical Park I took these pictures

As you can see the sun was shining but there were some clouds covering the blue sky.

I was still following Hwy 12 The Lewis and Clark Trail. One moment I decided to take another road to a little town/village/some houses. Was very nice. My navigation software recalculated a new route.
Well he directed me to a very small steep road. That was very nice it went up to the top of the canyon I was driving in and shot some video of it. Next two pictures are the road to the top and a view at the top.

And yes you can see more clouds were coming and it started raining...

After a while I saw an old (well for me he was, I think mid 60s) with a helmet, Harley-Davidson suit, nice Harley with a little trailer behind it and a flat tyre. He waived and I waived back.....
Oh no I stopped to see if I could help him. It was already raining a bit. He needed a jack to jack up is trailer. Of course I did not check if I had one in my rental. But luckily I had one.
In the meantime another car had stop to assist also. After we helped him I offered them some dutch candy. The one I will offer to all SST members who will joining the John Williams concert. They did not want it, so that means I have more of it now :)

Of course just after the replacement it stopped raining and the sun was shining again...

The last picture of today is a view I have when I look out my hotel window.
As you can see some dark clouds, but looking to the right the sun is still shining.

Tomorrow I have a long trip planned. So next update will be late in the evening or maybe the day after that.
