After I get my rental car and a meeting with Twopop I want to take this route.
Will this be my car?
I am sitting here at Amsterdam airport.
It is now 9.15 am local time and in 1 hour the 10 hours and 20 minutes flight will start.
I probably looked suspicious, maybe because I am meeting some SST friends, after the interview he needed to go to his supervisor
But after tht everything was ok and they let me in.
The next post will be USA (if I have taken the right plane).
Just arrived at my first hotel.
No problem with finding the hotel. My navigator brought me to the right address.
It is now 7.00 pm local time. That means it is 4.00 am for my biological clock. So far not really sleepy at the moment.
It took me a little bit more than an hour to get through immigration and customs. I expected that my bags needed to rechecked as in Cincinatti 2 years ago.
The immigration officer was in a good mood or just wanted to finisched his job quickly. He ony asked what the purpose was of this visit. Just gave my fingerprints and a picture and I could collect my bag, which was ready to pick up. Then handed over the customs form and then Twopop welcomed me with a nice welcome sign. It said Welcome SSTefan :)
We had a nice lunch at an airport restaurant. I had an Oregon Bison Hamburger.
After the lunch Twopop and I said goodbye and I was going to pickup my rental car.
They showed me to a parking lot and said the keys were on the doorlock. And there it was the same model like the picture above, only in white. So I went to the car but there were no keys in the lock. I could not find it and an employee of the rental company could not find it also. So he said well choose another one. At that moment there were only full sized car available. So now I have a free upgrade and it is the one below.
Hotelroom looks ok. At the moment they do not have wireless internet in the rooms, but in the lobby there is. So now I am sitting here in the lobby to post this.
Time to go upstairs to my room and taking some refreshments.
